As part of our outreach ministry, we are helping those in need in our own community by providing items to the local food pantry. The next time you are shopping pick up an item or two and drop it off in the large box located in the kitchen and someone will take it to the pantry.
Items always needed: Peanut butter, tuna, Rice-a-Roni (Chicken or Beef), canned fruit, canned vegetables, soup, condiments such as ketchup, mustard, and salad dressings, cereals, cake mixes and frosting.
Also needed are the following: Shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, feminine products, deodorant, laundry detergent, diapers, and wipes.
Monetary Items are just as important: For every dollar that is donated, the Pantry can purchase four dollars worth of food from the Akron-Canton Regional Food Bank. We purchase the rest of the items at local stores, receive donations from local businesses, and accumulate items by hosting various food drives.
