Looking for a way to help out?

Thanks for your interest in working with the Tinker's Creek Youth department.

Joining the Tinker’s Creek Youth Staff is a unique opportunity to use the gifts and abilities that God has given you to be able to impact the lives of the students in this body of believers.  The information on the following pages gives a description of the times and events that comprise the Youth program.  Please read each description carefully as well as the job descriptions that follow and begin praying about how God might use you in this ministry.

There are 3 major events that comprise the youth programming, Sunday Morning Youth Bible Fellowship, Sunday Night Youth Group (YAC - Youth After Church) and a Monthly Youth Group Event.  Within each of those 3 areas there are distinct needs to be filled.  The first page describes the 3 events in detail.  The second page describes the staff needs that will be involved.  While the last page provides a checklist that communicates which areas of staff you would be interested in.

It is my desire for you to enjoy your service to God through your ministry to these students.  I have divided staff responsibilities into what I feel are specific gifted areas.  I will always welcome you to expand and try out new gifts that God has given you and there will be plenty of opportunity for that.  However, I do also understand that working with youth can be intimidating, which is why it is important to be involved in an area that you feel comfortable and can simply be yourself.

I am asking for a one year commitment.  This allows for consistency for the students as well as ample time to get to know the students.  This will last from fall of the first year through the end of the summer of the next year.  There is a smooth transition point at the beginning of a new school year for an exchange of staff if there needs to be.  At the end of one year you will be given an evaluation sheet for both yourself and the youth program.  I will also meet with you individually to discuss the previous year and whether or not you wish to continue on staff the following year as well as how you fit in your position.  Please feel free to talk to me if you have circumstances that wouldn’t allow a full year commitment.
