Subject:  Youth All-Nighter Info

Tinker’s Creek Parents,

Just a reminder about the all-nighter tomorrow night.  We will meet at the church office in Streetsboro at 8pm and then head over to the Twinsburg Activity Center for the night.

Why we’re doing it:

Besides the fact that the youth staff are crazy, the goal is to continue to unite this group of students together as a whole.  The entire night is going to focus on large group activities with a little bit of free time here and there.  Several students are bringing friends as well, so we want to make sure that they are included in the group and have a good first experience with Tinker’s Creek.

What we’ll do:

We’ll play some volleyball, knockout, team ping-pong, we’ll make our own pizza’s together, watch a Warren Miller film (it’s all about extreme skiing, that, of course, takes place mostly in Colorado.  Personally I think it will be the highlight of the night, not that I’m biased.  It will also get everyone pumped up for the ski trip Jan 16) Dance, Dance Revolution (a PS2 video game that has floor pads that you dance on in competition with other students) and a few other crazy games.  If it’s not too cold we’ll go play outside for a little bit, but with as cold as it’s been we’ll probably scrap that, but have them bring warm stuff just in case.

Snack to share (we’re bringing drinks and pizza supplies)

Pillow or something to sit on while we watch the movie

Warm clothes in case we go outside

We have 25 students signed up, with a few more or less potential, but the youth staff only has room to drive 19.  I need two parents that can volunteer to drive over that night and pick up in the morning.
